2019 Arizona Food Summit

AZDAJoin us for the 3rd Annual Arizona Food Summit!

The Food Summit is a goal-driven initiative to promote one of Governor Doug Ducey’s key priorities (Happy, Healthy Citizens) to help Arizonans pursue a healthier life. The Arizona Department of Agriculture (AZDA) promotes this mission by facilitating statewide collaborations to eliminate hunger, reduce nutrition-related diseases, and address the root causes of food insecurity.

The 2019 Food Summit is an opportunity to bring people together from across the state to discuss issues, share ideas, and learn about food system success stories. It will build on the goals identified during the 2017 Food Summit and the work being done by the AZDA Food & Agriculture Policy Advisory Committee. Participants and presenters will discuss successes since the 2017 Food Summit and develop goals for 2019–2020.

Growers, nutritionists, and other food experts from across Arizona will lead interactive workshops on the following key topics:

  1. Successful Partnerships & Collaborations
  2. Outreach & Community Education
  3. Smashing Regulatory Barriers
  4. Building Food System Infrastructure
  5. Innovation & the Future of Arizona Agriculture
